| Abstract | The Encyclopedia of the Antarctic contains 495 individual, alphabetically arranged entries of 500 to 6000 words each. Each entry is cited separately in the Antarctic Bibliography. The Important Bird Area (IBA) Programme was established by the BirdLife International to protect natural bird population and habitats. The IBAs of Antarctica are described here. (mte) |
